Let's welcome our latest redesign model: Lee skirt! Lee skirts are pieces made from secondhand/vintage quilted fabric/blankets. It is a perfect winter/spring piece to keep your legs warm! The original Lee skirt model has a small opening to one side, so you can tie the bands into a bow, but we also have some that will be wrap skirts. All Lee skirt has a big volume because of the thickness of the fabric, and we love them for it!
This particular one is a wrap skirt. Our original idea is to make it into a size XL skirt with a waist around 90cm, but for us to model it, we decided to let it be an open wrap skirt for now. It means: right now it is for up to size M/waist 72cm, but if your waist is around 90cm, let us know so we can close the sides then it can fit you!
100% cotton. Length 85cm.
The Lee model is named after my dear grandma, Lee is her family name and for me, she is the dearest person in the world. I grew up at her place until I was 6, then moved to live with my parents in the big city. But the bond is built forever and my biggest wish now is I can fly back to China to visit her. I would love to name this model after her, but it is not only about her, about us. The first test model I made for the Lee model is on a blanket made by my boyfriend´s grandma, and I know a lot of vintage quilting is passed from generation to generation, they are made by the elderly. I want to add something more and be more close to them, so instead of using these quilting as blankets, I decided to put them on as garments, bring them outside to see the world.
I know this redesign model is not for everyone, but I do love this idea and hope you can see the charm of it!
